door lock post inside

Ditto. I did put a piece of duct tape over the area (lil protection for the door panel) & used my wizz wheel..

i just did ford rangers door locks in black works for me and sits low enough for me

Here is what I did. I went to NAPA and bought black ones (my car is black and didn't like the chrome it came with). I cut them off to get them the right height and screwed them in. My wife kept hitting the stock height one on the passenger side with her elbow. To get them off, I used an old strap wrench - remember those?
I left the rear the stock height but put black ones on it. I would still like to be able to get out of the car if the battery died.

Lock in the up - unlocked position.


Lock in the down - locked position

That's why I didn't do the pass side as low, I can still grab it & pull it up..
also on the panel, the back doors can open from inside, no problem..

there easy as hell they took me like 10 mins to do.i just left the back ones alone i didnt really see a point of cuting those
