You have them ideally placed, was there a template? Did you just eyeball it!? measure?
I think I like this, I'm not sure, I like the script on the hood, I think I'm remembering as a kid not liking it on the interior though. Man, these cars are fun. Nope ha ha, I'm not doing it but very nice job!
that's it, Kingfrog got it, nix the ones on the doors

To address everyone's comments:
1) I have script on the hood, they are a little larger than the ones inside that car. (See picture below at the end of this email.)
2) To apply the script, see my How to Install Scripts thread.
3) Back in the 50's, some of the Chevys had scripts on the inside doors, or a "V" with the Chevy bow tie.
Yes, I figured some of you wouldn't like it on the inside doors, but I do and that's what counts! The neat thing about the HHR is that there is so much you can do with them. I went with the scripts on the door for a real retro look.
The next item is a 1949 Cheverolet bullet hood ornament to complete the retro look. I just got it off of an eBay auction:

Wow... thanks for the reply MWG2...
Excellent "how to" description and photos... First class job...
I was curious how you were able to get that 3M tape to hold so well on the somewhat slick slightly bumpy panels.
Thanks...

The Dash/door script is 7 inches long, and approximately 1/2 inch in height.
The hood script is 12 1/2 inches long, and approximately 6/8 inch in height.
I purchased both scripts from: www.muttonhollowchevys.com
Dash script: http://www.muttonhollowchevys.com/19...p_46-1046.html
Hood Script: http://www.muttonhollowchevys.com/19..._p_46-423.html
Hope this is helpful.

That particular hood ornament fits flush to the curvature of the hood. Its off a k. ADDs A LOT to the Retro look. IF it does not look retro I won't buy it.
