Not at the bottom. I'd rather it be held at the bottom but there is no obvious way to do it, and Mr. Bumpstops didn't, unless he added something since the original post. I'm thinking of ways to do it but haven't settled on one yet. Hello Mr. Bumpstops...

You might try 3M's adhesive pads , and anchor using ty wraps..

As far as the stiffness, it ain't THAT stiff at the bottom! At least not using the material I got. Mr. Bumpstops used a satelite mesh which may have been stiffer, but what I got is aluminum gutter mesh, and it needs some stiffening at the bottom. That's my opinion anyway, for the material I used.
