Pretty simple to remove the rear spoiler, just open the hatch and unscrew the fasteners, here's a thread on installing the spoiler...just check out the photos for the fastener locations and go to it.

Here's a thread on removing the front bumper cover, the bumper trim pad just clips onto the bumper cover so you just pop it off once you have the cover off.

You can paint the drums on the vehicle if you wish, just make sure you cover the fenders with something to keep any overspray off the paint.

Not so long ago I had a broken spring in the rear passenger side brake. I decided to replace the brake shoes on both sides along with the hardware package.
I jacked up the rear end of my buggy and removed the brake drums from both sides and proceeded with the job.
Since both drums were off the car I decided since I had a can of gray primer paint handy and a wire wheel already setup on my grinder to clean the drums and prime them.
While the primer dried I found a can of safety orange spray paint in on the shelf, so I gave the drums a decent coat of that.
It caused my brake job to take a bit longer as I didn’t want to smeg up the fresh paint but not that much longer.
As with any paint job the surface prep is the key, get your drums as clean as you can and at least think about wiping them with some solvent or wash them in dish soap, rinse and dry them.

thanks alot guys, im kinda new here still. im lookin to put up pics soon, buttttt. im still curious about the ugly faded black plastic on the front bumper, i want to remove it and wrap it n carbon fiber. so far i have dont the emblems n fiber, the coin tray, the chrome finish around the shifter, the e brake, and some more small things on the inside, ive switched over to royal purple for all of my engine liquids. i installed blue neons to a switch installed where cig lighter was. however, i want a new muffler that will add some power but wont make it sound like a pure ricer, any ideas?? and do u know if that will void my warranty? also lowering.... will that void?

I have a friend who wrapped his black license plate "spacer" in chrome. He didn't remove his. He just carefully wrapped and tucked the mylar/vinyl product on. Came out nice and professional looking.
A muffler shouldn't void a warranty...haven't heard of anyone having trouble with this (unless you run into a really grouchy dealer/service writer).
Suspension changes GENERALLY do not void a warranty...unless it CAUSES a related failure.
But after looking at your profile, you have a 2007, it's already out of warranty, unless (again) you have an "extended warranty".
Your 5 year/100,000 mile warranty is for DRIVE TRAIN ONLY and would not cover the suspension change.
Aftermarket mufflers add no, or very little power.....MAYBE 1 or 2 hp. So do it if you want a better/different sound.

I run the GM Performance Parts exhausts on my 2007 and 2011 HHR's and it sounds fantastic, my wife picked out a Magnaflow system for the 2006 and it sounds pretty good too..just a touch buzzy at some rpm ranges.
