the dash kits look nice but the big gaps around the top of the center air vent need to be fixed

I left the black paint at the air vents and around the CD player.

I just wanted to give something else a shot. Tell you the truth I like the brushed alum. dash kit way better. Gets rid of some of the plastic look inside.

I painted them black too, but the dash kit comes with trim for that too.

I have ordered a real wood dash kit for my black HHR. It is titanic burled (meaning a black semi transparent stain. It DOES NOT have the gaps at the top air vents that ALL of the other so called kits have. It also comes with 55 pieces in the package and even does around the remote controls on the steering wheel. I think it will look great. I will post pics once it is installed later this month. The manufacturer offers about 12 different wood grains as well as real aluminum and chrome packages. We'll see if it looks as good as I think then I can recommend it to you all!
