Front license plate bracket

Here in Pennsylvania we only carry a rear plate so my HHR did not have the front bracket installed when I got it. I want to put my Harley plate on the front but the front license plate "kit" has 2 rivets that need to be installed to hold the license plate holder on. Do I need a special tool to install these rivets?? Or, can I just use some hollow wall plastic fasteners instead?? Kind of a basic question but before I start drilling I want to get some info from you who have installed your own front license plate bracket.

Thanks,

Mick

We have to have both front and rear plates on our cars here in Colorado, however, the dealer forgot to put mine on before I took delivery. Next time I went by the dealer, I just stopped by the service dept and they popped it on in a minute. They used some sort of rivet gun to do that with and were done in a flash. I'm sure you can use other fastener if you like too.

I bent my front plate to match the bumper and screwed it on without that big bulky bracket. It turned out very nice. It's a clean look and it's custom. Just an idea!
