Fuel door

One of the rare things that bothers me about my HHR is the fuel door i hate that when i have to open it (like after a nice waxing job) i put a damn finger print on the door, i know its petty but they should have just made it to where you open it from inside. does anyone else agree with this?

If it bothers you that much, try using a tissue, hanky, or even a paper towel (usually supplied by gas station), when pressing on the door. Or you could carry a terry cloth towel to wipe the door when finished.

It's the small stuff like this that shouldn't be sweated. After all, do you wipe down your car after every trip you make?

Yes, it would be a convience. Wonder if the fuel door being on the passenger side has anything to do with it.

Some people do. I remember one member saying they was their HHR every day!

You sound like me. I'm this way with closing the doors too. Make sure you don't put prints on the handle or the doors. Of course now, I don't have a garage so it doesn't stay clean like it use to.

I actually like the design. It is a nice compromise between the extra cost of a remote opening system and the ugly thumb bump for a standard door. Both my HHR and Aura have this and I have had no problems. I must admit that I don't wash my HHR everyday but I DO wash my hands everyday - give that a try.

Is it possible to help people without trying to insult them.
