Wow that is a twist of fate, around here there is no Full Service its either do it yourself or it dont get done. Would love to see Full Service like in the old days..

Another safety reason for it might be that it is safer if you run out of gas and have to refuel it on the side of the road. With it on the passenger side, you're not exposed to passing traffic while you put the gas in. Just a thought.

Hmmmm, rally doesn't make sense to have a button to open the gas door, just to eliminate a fingerprint. You would still need to CLOSE it with that same finger. One of the top line MB's has an auto close gas flap (as well as every other opening door, hood, trunk, mirrors) but the HHR is not a comparison to that!!!

I thought I was the only one who did this . I keep a microfiber towel with me to keep the gear shift nob chrome clean, and keep the dust of the dash. What else are you going to do while sitting at a long red light? I also keep several more in the back for outside polishing when needed. BTW, the HHR is the only car I have ever been THIS picky with.
