I am changing the mirror I have to a compass mirror with map lights GNTX-221. The pinout is the same as the stock harness with the exception of the "switched" wire that I have already ran from fuse 21 with a fuse tap. The problem I have is the map lights work in reverse with the door. They come on at the end of the dimmer cycle instead of going off. Other than that the map lights work as they should with the on off switch. If needed I have some bright white LEDs that I can hard wire to operate with the door/dimmer ckt (I am using them now with my compass mirror without map lights now) but I wonder if there is a way to make the mirror work right. I have seen the Mito harness has a reversing switch in it that supposedly changes when the lights go on and off is that the way to go? Anybody used this mirror with sucess?

FYI I returned the mirror and got another plugged it into the harness with my added switched 12V in pin 1 (pulled a connector out of a Gentex mirror harness I had. Just push the outside part of the connector to release it.) and Voila success map lights work as it should compass calibrated all is good.
