Gloss or flat?

Not going to post any pics, just want to know what the general consensus is. Looking to get some new wheels for my black 09 SS, so flat black or gloss black?

I agree, unless you are going, matte paint...go with the gloss. The SS wheels would look sweet powdercoated btw! Todd (Uma)

Not sure how, maybe I just didn't see it.

Uma, I agree, but I have seen flat black wheels on a gloss black car and it looked great, and the problem with the gloss black is that it usually has a polished lip, which I was kind of trying to stay away from, just b/c I wanted the all black look. How about this, a gloss gold that looks to match the front and rear Chevy emblems, but it has a polished lip as well?

When creating a new thread the option is available at the bottom in the "Additional Options", which is just below the button for "Submit Reply".

I say gloss or black chrome.

You might want to review Chad's galley, or recent post regarding his conversion, for his black "converted" SS. He used a black rim with a chrome ring. Looks DYN-O-MITE in my opinion.

Oh, I better say...REAL black chrome....not the imitation that Chevy uses on special HHR models.

Added the poll for you I would go with gloss but agree it needs the chrome lip for seperation from the tire.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Still not sure what route I want to go. Been doing a lot of looking, but finding a lot of the same stuff over and over, so it's kind of hard.

I wish that American Racing made the Salt Flat in the right bolt pattern. I looks like a kidney bean oldschool wheel.
