Was just over at GM Parts Direct looking at running boards, and quite a few of the colours are flagged as "to be discontinued".

If you want them for you '06 HHR, better hurry before they are gone.

 

I would imagine Daytona Blue is one of those for sure.

A head's up to those owners; get 'em while you can!

 

For the spoilers they were never available in all the colors so I'm guessing this really won't be a big issue except for anyone putting them on HHRs they already own.

What colors besides Daytona Blue are being discontinued?

 

Here are all the colours listed as being discontinued:

Cashmere Metallic
Black
Dark Tarnished Silver Metallic
Sunburst Orange Metallic
Light Tarnished Silver Metallic
Daytona Blue Metallic
Majestic Amethyst Metallic

 

What the heck does that leave? White?

 

White, Victory Red, and primer (paint yer own, bucko.).

 

Are sales of white and victory red higher than the others? Chrysler does the same thing with its Town&Country/Caravan running boards....only available in a white, black, silver, and then primer.

 

Just a thought....

cars with those colors will come standard with running boards?????? Also, manufacturers are required by federal law to carry replacement parts for, I believe, 7 years after last year of produced vehicle. Maybe they'll just come as "plane janes" and painting will be done by dealers.

Just another idea, folks.

 

Up here, the 2007 HHRs come standard with running boards whereas they are still an option for the US models.

But Daytona Blue is not a 2007 colour. Maybe it'll be back for 2008? In a way I hope not...it's nice having a car that has a "first year only" colour

 

Board are still available, but the parts are all being sold separately. Of course, price goes up to around $525.00.
