depends on the shop u go to.

i went to the big name shops in my town and it was anywhere from $3500-$5000.

went to a couple private owned shops and was quoted $1200-$1500

do it yourself. i payed $250 for my paint. and my labor is free.
doing the tribal stuff will make it more$ than just a 2 tone at a shop.
1200-1500 is cheap for a shop. around here anyway

yeah what shop you go to will vary greatly just as the cost varies greatly the quality varies greatly as well. imo its better to spend the money on a quality shop versus trying to save a few bucks and come up with a half assed paintjobs.

learning how to paint yourself is great, but i wouldnt make your first attempt at paining on your car. by some spare fender or hood, something with curves and flat areas to practice on before you just spray your own car. painting is a skill. esp when you figure a few hundred dollars for paint a few hundred for a half way decent gun plus a compressor if you dont have one, you could be well over $1500 just on supplies to try painting yourself.

good point its easy to forget, not everyone has the required tools.
if you want it done make sure you find someone that has stuff you can check out first. its expensive for a reason most of the time you get what you pay for.

one thing i would suggest is do all the mods you want before paint.

definatly agree with that, take a good hard look and make any changes you want to make before its sprayed.

something i need to look at. wife wrecked our 8 month ss this weekend so looks like i may pony up for a new paintjob as well.
