Grill Question...

From the following thread; page 2... fifth post down.

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...?t=6705&page=2

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm Here is what i found i think this is it and its not the chrome one i belive since you will be painting it, let me know what you found out. cause i do want that grill that is in my aviatar and the mesh a high gloss blk and surrounding trim color matched

link didn't work here is the part number GM PART # 22714712

Anyone know if that Part Number is accurate; and that... it is infact for the exterior Grill of an HHR? To my understanding the HHR has 2 or 3 different optional grills and when searching that website for HHR Parts, the grills do not come up as being available.

The description of that Part# on GMpartsdirect.com lists that it is infact a Grill; but it does not say what type of grill, or for what vehicle.

As far as genuine GM grilles go there is only one option, the grille that came on your HHR. It is available in a satin finish or bright chrome. There are a few different aftermarket grilles though.

Yes, I was refering to the Satin Finish and the Chrome...

According to my local Chevy Dealership.. those are "optional" items that can be swapped out by their parts department... infact mine is satin; and they did try to offer me the chrome one when I bought my HHR; which I bought Used from them.

I know all about the various aftermarket grills... most of those are billeted though.

As for the OEM Grills... my question is... What is that Part Number? Is it the OEM HHR Satin Grill, or the OEM HHR Chrome Grill... either way, $35 for a grill is cheap... and if I modify mine then I want a "backup". Mainly I want all factory parts for when I sell my HHR someday in the far future; I want to include all the original equipment when I sell it. But then; thats just me, I'm picky like that... Used cars don't sell easily after they've been modified, and most Dealerships won't give you as good a deal on them; unless they have all the original factory equipment.

But during the day. It still looks like ugly shiny chrome. I'm hoping to get rid of as much of the "shiny chrome" look from my HHR as I can... for as cheap as I can...

It does actually. Though I am still curious... the listing for those part numbers on GMpartsdirect.com; allthough they have a good price, they do not specifically state what vehicle those are for.

How does one know for sure?

Oh... and yes I know you're a GM Parts guy and I'll take your word for it, but I am just curious...
