I like the black lower grill painted white too! How hard is it to remove?

I like the grill, I am going to paint mine white like that very soon. I KNEW it would look good!
for the lower bumper you will have to remove the bumper then unclip the trim. the local body man that did mine put the bumper back on has he was painting it so I drove the car for 2 days with out a grill and lower bumper trim. has for the mirrors I don't know how hard they are to get at since i was not there when the body man did them , sorry

Yep, black out the headlights, drop it, and get some bigger black wheels and it'll be the best HHR I've seen!

Mirrors are easy, just push a flat blade screw driver under the cap and twist. Use a rag to cover the sharpness of the blade to avoid deep scratches. There are like five little clips that hold the cover in place. Paint to liking and replace.

Halfpanel, looks good by the way, maybe get a set of lights off ebay and get with 1panel2nv. He did his lights, and I thought a thread on the removal/replacement.

The Cobalt springs ought to do the trick just fine, and once the headlights are done, it will be 90% of the way done! Look for a cheap set of 18s and paint 'em black! It's just the steelies behind the caps that are killing the look.
