Here's the direct link to the HRT Classic page: http://timeouttrailers.org/HRT.aspx
I just spoke with sales @ Time Out Trailers and got many of my questions answered.
I checked the tire size that comes with the trailer against the stock SS tires @ http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
The diameter is .1" difference!
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
225/45-18 4.0in 13.0in 26.0in 81.6in 777 0.0%
205/75-14 6.1in 13.1in 26.1in 82.0in 773 0.5%
They must be bouncy tires but stock Cobalt SS wheels with stock SS tires should work with a bolt pattern adapter.
I also asked about modifying a Chevy beauty bar (that I'd send to them) to apply but he'd rather not.
I could get that done locally.
Massachusetts (and 39 other states) require a plate for all trailers.
I want NO chrome or brushed aluminum showing at all.
The base model HRT only has brushed aluminum lock/latch mechanism and hinges.
Easy enough to get those powdercoated locally.
All the chrome seen in the pix are part of an extra $$ chrome package.
I can sleep in the HHR with the seats folded down and an air mattress (5'8").
That was a consideration in getting said HHR.
I might actually have to get a NH State Parks season pass this year
