how's THIS for an idea......

so, I've always had a penchant for lighting.
I had a 79 Ranchero that I mounted a pair of driving lights AND a pair of fogs behind the grille.

then there was the 87 caprice wagon that had a row of amber markers mounted on the lower "chin" strip.

so i'm thinking about drilling out the horizontal slits on the driving light dummy plates and mounting amber lights behind them and wiring into the markers.

i'm HOPING to get it done before the snow flies, which could be any day now!

and as always, pics will be posted!

Aldis Lamps? Ummm, not sure of the amount of light they would throw, interesting look though.

Why not just add Fog Lights.

Putter posted a nice thread adding a set.

I have the factory fogs and they really add light right up front were the headlights miss, because the fogs are so low.

I use them as daytime running lights as they cancel out the headlights during the day, and drive with them on at night because I like the added light.

I think youd get more usefulness out of adding fogs over adding another set of front turn signals/running lights.

I don't think he's going for additional lighting to see with, but more like accent lighting.

If done carefully, I think it would look pretty cool.
