Hey All,
So I am about to buy an HHR - possibly this weekend. I have been contemplating getting a Katzkin leather interior (in a brown hue like the new Saturns have) to put into a black stock interior. My question to anyone that has experience in this, is would you buy the stock interior in cloth or leather? It seems a waste to buy the leather upgrade if you don't need it (although I'm sure its E-Bay-able) but I have heard the leather interior has more support and is cushier than the stock cloth. Any ideas?

to the site!!! The only advantage I could see in your case is the difference in feel you mentioned. Sit in both and see which is more comfortable to you. If you think the cloth ones are comfortable why not save the money!!

 

We have the leather in both our HHRs and are VERY happy with them!

Personally I would order the leather and If you don't like the color, have them died. There have been problems with aftermarket seat cover affecting the passenger seat airbag sensor.

 

I have the grey cloth and wish I had got leather. The cloth is thin, and very hard to keep clean. Plus leather seats are heated.

 

If I had to do it over again, I would go with the leather. They cloth attracts dirts IMO! I clean them once a month right now with Prestone carpet and seat cleaner..Will be purchasing a leather set in the near future.

 

Guys, in case it's not clear he plans on getting katzkin leather after purchase. Would you still get leather if you were going to get katzkin leather installed is the question.

I would get the leather from the beginning, just for the heated seats.
