Expect to pay at least $1200 for a good bolt on kit, more if you want power actuators. I can think of a lot of other mods I would rather do for that kind of money but hey if you want them go for it.

I bet there was a time when alot of people here wouldn't hesitate to "add" a new item, fad, look, whatever to their ride..now...they scoff at hanging an air freshener on the interior....the "boomers" are finally settling down on the porch in thier rockers to watch the parade......and complain its not like it used to be.....yup!To some ..change is not good!Once upon a time these were the same folk who stood up to authority and thumbed their noses...what happened? Sorry about the off topic..but I see a trend ...............We are now our parents!

Stupid is as stupid does. Some people just want to have something special, for those people that do something different please don't let the ney sayers of the world stop you.
Like the man says, GETTER DONE AND HAVE SOME FUN.
I have enjoyed my vertical doors now for about 3 years and have no problems. Harvey was the first HHR that Vertical Doors of Corona did, they used Harvey as a tem plate to design the hinge for the HHR. Yes it does take some used to getting in and out but I'm in the 260lb area and 68 years old, bad back etc., and I get in and out very well. So give Lou at Vertical Doors in Corona, tell him the proto HHR sent you. He will be able to direct you with the proper information. No welding and when I want to sell Harvey I can take the hinges off and put the stock ones on and go on my merry way. If I can be of more help please don't hesitate to PM me.
