LED tail lite bulbs
Hello; Installed a pair of LED tail lite bulbs, 2007 HHR. Now the turn signals flash too fast. Was told that I needed a LED COMP. FLASHER. checked in my area, and cant find one. Can someone please advise as to where they can be purchased? Many thanks;

You need a ballast resistor. Like this:

If there is too little resistance, your cruise control won't work.
Found out after installing LEDs, then had my 3rd brake light disconnected. Plugged it all back up and the cruise returned to normal.
There was also a note included in my instructions when I bought Bermuda Black tails about the cruise.

hmmm, well my cruise control works fine...
if thats the only drawback to a faster flash, ill keep it the way it is now...
when the fronts die, i was planning on replacing them with LCD as well... do you think i would have issues with my cruise control then?

GM and others I am sure do make flashers that work at normal speed with LED lights. It is an electronic flasher that does not require "proper loading". They are used on cars/trucks that have factory LED taillights. Whether or not you can find one that will fit in the HHR I don't know. with the proper flasherthere are no worries about resistor leads braking or the extra connections.
I know for a fact they are out there, and work because I used one with my LED tails in my Suburban. Found mine at Pep Boys..........
Just my $.02

Why not just run a little resister? Superbrightleds.com sells them

Here's a pic of one installed. Can click on the thumbnail to enlarge
