Not if its the same way it is on the grille. After I cut up my grille I took the one off of the front. It was held of by dual sided tape just like all of the other emblems. There are two pins on the back of it two properly align it with the two guide holes in the grille. I dont see why it would change on the back bowtie, you can see it's held on with tape.

I could be wrong but the front bowtie came off just as easy as the rest of the emblems of the car. A little heat and you're all good.

I pulled all the emblems off my rear hatch with just my fingers.
