Smile Look What I Made

Well after emailing companies and giving up I decided to make my own pod since I have all the materials at work. Its has been costly im not gonna lie but the way its coming out is awesome.

Products used
1. LS/LT pillar $45 from GM (shop discount)
2. Glowshift gauge Universal pod $15 (cut it up)
3. Fiberglass cloth/Resin
4. Valvoline Plastic finishing Cream (plastic fillar)
5. Spies Hecter adhesion promotor
5. spies Hecter high build primer
6. SEM Texture Paint (To return OEM plastic Finish)
7. 150 grit, 320 grit, 400 grit sand paper.
8. Paint/Semi gloss Clear.

Heres a Pic from today, I finished all the sanding and primed it.

Looks good! Why didn't they ever produce these for our wagons? I don't have a need one but I want one anyways! Will the single pod pillars from the SS fit in our LTs?

Yea itll fit, Ive test fitted this one just to make sure and to see if the pods were at the angle I wanted. And I have no idea why no one ever produced one. Probably because they dont expect the HHR to be a performance vehicle. lol or because are pillars are tiny.

I had a pillar in my 2001 s10 Xtreme and it just made the truck look tough. I love looking through the front window of a vehicle that has a pillar installed...even a ricer Honda...lol. If you get rid of your single pod, keep me in mind. I'll find some kinda gauge to run in it.

I like it. If a company made 'em, I'd get it and run an Aeroforce gauge along with my stock boost gauge. Unfortunately, I am not so handy as to fab one up like that.

Yup thats the only reason I made it was to run a Aeroforce, I may ditch the boost gauge though and get a AEM AFR.
