looking for retro hubcaps

I have an 09 lt. Il looking for solid dish early 60s style hubcaps. If anyone knows where I can find these it would be greatly appreciated. Unlike most people my age I hate the river look and have always loved the old retro style, which is why I got an hhr considering what its a throwback to.

Seems I read somewhere that the "hubcap Mike" full moons rotate on the rim over time and that twists the valve stem so keep an eye on that...... Maybe he has a new improved design that fixed this issue, I don't know. Keep an eye on them anyways.

The Moon Equipped version screws on, rims need to be drilled/tapped (self tapping screws I think) Problem with those, the caps can crack at the screws from flex, also you need to remove the caps to check air pressure....... There was a thread on here that was discussing the cracking issue and some good ideas involving rubber grommets was mentioned. I'm not sure if anyone has done this yet but worth looking into.

Both have issues, but the look is great........

Hello and Good Morning. I was at Wheel Vintiques here in Fresno two weeks ago, and they carry all kinds of hub caps, center caps, and trim rings. I bought a set of beautiful trim rings for my HHR and am delighted with them, and with Wheel Vintiques. They have a website if you want to look at what they have: www.wheelvintiques.com . Good Luck !! Jennifer

I bought the moons from hubcapmike. Yes they walked, he suggested JB weld or steel stems. Didn't want the JB trick, steel stems not possible due to tire pressure sensors, so, my tire guy suggested silicone. Apparently thats used on a lot of wheel covers when the plastic gets older and dry. I dotted every other tab. It works pretty well, but some additional wouldn't have hurt either. If I don't like it later...it just peels off!
