Lowered OEM Door Lock Buttons- Another simple mod

WTG, CJ. That looks real good. If you get a chance to post pics and a How-to, I will do the same.
I know some folks have pointed out to only do the front doors in the event one gets stuck inside, no power, and door locked, you can still unlock the back doors. In my case, I do have Onstar, and could call from my Cell....

You can put them up or down as far as you want. just cut the rod less or leave the back alone.
i am 52 and driving for 38 years and being in a locked car w a dead battery has never happened. if the battery is dead how is Onstar going to help you?
also i looked in my manual and there is a emergency liftgate release on the back door if you lose power. We have one on the Nox too
found out it is not there on the HHR, is on the Nox, bummer
this below was out of the manual on page 2-14
one of the lil bumps on the bottom of the rear gate near the center is a trim plug.
remove it to expolse the access hole in the trim panel
push the release lever
put the plug back in

One cool thing even with the locks lowered is you can pry off the top left corner of the door panel and get to the lock rod
so if all else fails, gently pull the corner back from the top left, ease the panel forward, unlock your door and get out. Then put the rod thru the hole first and then push the panel back in place
so nothing to panic about and you wont hurt it either
