Unhappy Minor Rear Plastic Bumper Damage

My new Black 2009 SS with only 3500 miles has 3 inches of damage along the top to bottom of the plactic bumper. Looks like some backed up too far or the wife backed up to far to the brick side of the garage. Also the top has marks that have been made during loading. I know they have a protective cover to help protect this area. Has anyone saw or heard of anyone using a Rhino liner type product to partically coat the bumper top and middle to help in protecting the plastic bumper? I have saw trucks that have this protection in the beds and long the rocker panels.

Sorry to hear about your damage!
I scratched the top of my rear bumper getting luggage out of the rear so I added the rubber cover at the top. I got it from my dealer for about $60 and it did cover the scratches, but I still get some minor scratching behind it... Luggage in/out.

To prevent dasmage on top, I recommend getting a 1/4" thich piece of rubber 40" long and 16" wide, attach it to the "D" rings on the floor inside the tailgate, and flip it out to cover the bumper when loading. Flip it back inside the car before closing the gate.
