Need ideas for better interior lighting

I'm 42, not 24. I don't see as well at night as I used to. However, I feel they left out adequate lighting in the HHR. I have the sunroof, also. Is there an aftermarket light kit anyone has used to brighten up the front of the passenger compartment? The lights on the mirror don't cut it!

Thanksk

Some people have used those LED stick-on lights. Those are battery powered, it should be possible to connect some of the lights that are available at parts stores, to the interior light feed, but I'm not sure just what current capacity that circuit has, since it comes through the dimmer that I'm guessing is in the BCM.
Just after Christmas I bought a couple of sets of LED Christmas lights, since it was by far the cheapest way to acquire white and blue LEDs, and I'd been intending to strategically position them all around the interior, hidden behind trim to produce indirect lighting (both the low-level blue for ambient, and brighter white for entry/exit), but I haven't done anything yet. I'm 42 now, but I have no problem with low lighting, I've always had really sensitive eyes, I have to wear sunglasses most of the time, and I can easily navigate around the house at night just by the light of the standby lamps and clock displays on the coffee maker, microwave, vcr etc.

My fiance purchase two minature tap lights she found at our local Big Lots store.

They attach with a little 3M tape and or velcro and she attached one to each of the front driver and passenger pillars. They are VERY handy and come on with a quick tap on and tap off. Powered by little changable button batteries.

Again, I though she was nuts when she bought them but I LOVE THEM!!! I need to get a set for my HHR.

Kinda looks like this...

Interior Lighting

Check out the thread from LEE3333 regarding using a Mustang/Capri light. It is really classy and can be moved in a 360 degree rotation. I just bought two of them on e-bay and will receive them this week. Think it is a good solution and looks to be easy to do.
