New SS spoiler, painted beauty bar and wiper removal

I finally got my new SS spoiler, painted beauty bar and blue bowtie (wiper hole cover) installed.
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the 1" hole left behind after removing the rear wiper. I didn't want to permanently fill so I decided to cover it. I had seen a relatively small blue and chrome bowtie (I'm partial to the ol' school blue bowties) on the trunk of a Geo Prizm a couple of weeks ago and figured I'd order one to see if it would cover the hole. It did... perfectly. Here are couple of pics...

I'll take some more pics out in the sun....that is if we ever see it again here in the Hudson Valley!

My only question, you went to such pain staking work to clean up and debadge the HHR why did you then add a bowtie? I love what you've done except for the bowtie, anyway thats only my opinion

Kind of have to agree with Rainman on this one ! Such a "Quality" and time consuming task to remove the Bow-Tie only to attach another some 6" away ! Might have used a color matched plug !

Nice Work Though ,

It's funny that you guys mentioned that as the same thought had run through my mind after I decided to add the bowtie. The bowtie on the beauty bar was a little large in my opinion and after seeing other HHR's that had it removed I decided to remove it. I did want to have some Chevy reference on the tailgate and I figured this one was about 1/3 the size of the original and could be removed much easier when I get tired of it. It's attached with 3M take. I may leave it or switch to a color matched plug at some point. I tend to get tired of stuff pretty quickly so I guess we'll see.... Thanks for the input guys!

You're looking good!
I too removed the Bowtie from the beauty bar. I have removed the wiper arm since this picture was taken.
I wonder how many folks have done this bowtie removal too?

Is the bowtie molded into the beauty bar, or is it stuck on. I think that the use of the traditional blue bowtie to cover the wiper arm hole is a great innovation. Great idea!

I wonder how many idiots did it to the front?

BTW - that plug should get filled this week, there will be black paint in the gun!
