Painted Bowties Now.

Painted Bowties Now.
The bad news was that I got what a scratch due to (probably) vandalism on my right rear 1/4 panel about three feet long.
The good news is that for the cost of my $100 deductible, I got the damage repaired a couple of days later by Sameday Auto Scratch and Dent Repair.
The GOODER news is that I had the technician paint my bowties Daytona Blue to match the car! This company does great work. A perfect color match and grain to factory, they even bake the finish with a portable heat source. And they're mobile, so no downtime. The job was done in the parking lot at my workplace.
ANYHOW.... My Tech, "Cap" Caputo said that they would be happy to color match anyone's bowties for a nominal $50 fee. This would consist of masking the area, scuffing the bowtie, applying an adhesion promoter, primer, paint, clearcoat, and bake. A class job all the way!
If any of you are in Western Washington, their number is 360-507-1222. As far as other areas, I'm reasonably sure that if you ask your local Sameday or similar business, they would probably do the same!

Great find Tom. I'm sure that will be helpful to those who are considering having their bowties painted. Gonna leave mine stock from the factory until I see something that I just cannot live without. Thanks for the info.

Wish they had someone like that down here. Pretty much any auto body shop, at least down here anyway, will do it for about $50. The problem is having to leave your car there to get it done. I guess one could remove the emblems and leave them at the shop, but who would want to drive around with the emblems missing?
