Painting the dashboard

Okay so I had one of those scented thingys in my car. Well it leaked onto the radio area and the paint is rubbing off!!! So it prompted an idea...to paint that whole area including the dashboard. Has anyone done this yet? and if so how hard is it? Because if I paint the dashboard, I dont want that bump pattern showing

Thats looks amazing!!! Thanks for the link but I was wondering if anyone has done it themselves? The guy in the link had a dealer do it or am I better off getting a dealer to do it because of that flexing issue?

I think the tweed looks really nice. so does the paint but with that gloss I know the glare on the windshield is horrible, If you paint it i would do it in flat paint.
