Not trying to be a smart@ss, but my solution is to park farther away where nobody else is. At least that's what I do.

I carry a velvet rope and stands and set it up around my car wherever I go. Seriously though I try to park far away but lately with a 8 month pregnant wife she doesn't care to walk very far.

I saw door trim on ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevy...spagenameZWD1V) , but that only helps if the car door of the a$$ is at the same height of the trim on your car.
The best way to prvent it is to park far away. You will get used to it.

My HHR had 2 door dings and 2 dents when I got it new from the dealer, I took it back and they had a guy fix them all, i think they call it Paintless dent removal, it looks great now!

Yep..pack a lunch and hope nobody wings a shopping cart at your car or just messes with it because they know why you are parking so far away

don,t mind the walk but crowded lots and parking garages leave me no choice. just thought some seen a body strip that would help with the majority of hits. thanks

Given the wide variety of vehicles that could park next to you, I do not think a strip would help. Now encasing the HHR in foam rubber might help.

Dent - Home Depot, Queens New York

While on vacation someone hit my HHR and gave me a nice dimple on my rear fender. $400 to get it repaired. Hit and run.
