If you are gonna do it Paul, I would say a Thicker bright red with a thiner deep charcoal color underneath it.....and that is IF you decide to do it

I'm not a fan of the blacked-out look, but Red pin and Black would look good!
Maybe have him draw designs for you and decide that way. The HHR has 'natural' lines that make even just a pin going around easy to do.

Paul: What is the worst that can happen? You don't like it! Then you have the luxury to just take it back off. So what is the harm.

Go for it man you only live once. Have some fun with your car! Add a stripe for a change on your cars looks, change it again later. Red or White would be my choice on a black car.
