Rear Bumper Removal

Hey... I tried searching but for some reason the search function isn't returning any results. I'm sure someone has said before, but since I can't find anything if anyone can point me in the direction I'd greatly appreciate it.

I was just wondering what is all involved in removing the rear bumper? I'd like to take it off for a winter project. I'd like to remove it so I can access the bumper support and all that good stuff under it so I can sand it and put POR-15 on it since it's kinda rusty. (Odd since the car has only seen 2 winters..oh well). But I didn't want to tear it apart not knowing what I was doing if there's help out there.

Thanks!

Eric. If you do this removal, maybe you can get some pictures and create a How To post. There doesn't seem to be a thread with step by step pictures.
If you don't have time, then maybe a picture or 2 of yours with the bumper off. I'm curious as to where this rust is.

Oh, ok thanks! I didn't see that thread. And yeah, when I do it I will post pictures then. It's a winter project, so I don't know when I'll do it or how long it'll take...

urbexHHR, Removing the rear bumper is really quite easy. Once you have'd removed all the screws and the plastic snaps, the bumber pretty much just pops off.Your looking at 10 min.
