removing HHR and LT from back
I was wondering what the easiest way to remove the lettering from the liftgate. I have used 3m decal remover and goo gone before on different vehicles, I was just wondering if there was an easier trick to it, without messing up the car or the letters (someone may want the HHR).

It's my understanding that the easiest way to remove them is by using dental floss or fishing line behind them. Move it back and forth in a sawing motion until they are loose. It's just double faced tape that holds them on. Then use an adhesive remover to remove the sticky stuff that's left behind.

I've removed them from many other vehicles in the past. If they are held on with the typical double sided automotive tape, I would suggest taking a hairdryer to them around the edges for a minute and they should loosen up enough to remove them with a slight pulling, fishing line or a credit card edge.
Be careful not to leave the hot heat from the hairdryer on the veh paint too long and work slowly and gently with the fishing line or credit card and you should have no problems.

Yeap, I agree,,,,
Hair dryer is the way to go. It will soften the adhesive and the material the adhesive is applied to.....kind of like a black "super" double sided tape. Be careful with other tools that are used....you could scratch the paint.

Like Mike, I just gave mine a little pull and they came right off, I then cleaned the residue with some decal / sticker remover and a soft towel. I only used that stuff because it was available. Alcohol or Goo Gone would have also done the trick.
