Rim Opinions...please.

Im going to be purchasing rims probably around mid next week and i want some serious ideas on what would look good on my black 08 ls...budget is a pretty big concern...if i could keep with the stock 16" size and still look good i would prefer it so i dont have to buy tires for the time being. But i am open to all suggestions and i want the best bang for teh buck.. Thanks in advance

My only suggestions would be not to be afraid to shop online. When I went looking for our 18s, every local shop wanted near $2000. I bought our wheels, tires, concentric rings, and tuner lugs for $900 shipped to my door and ready to install. And it is a better looking wheel than I found locally too.

I have nothing good to say about these guys if you want to check them out.

Other than that, wheel choice should be a personal thing. That's how we get so many cool looking HHRs instead of a bunch of look-alikes. It's your truck, go for whatever turns you on.

Here's the ones we went with on our black LS.

These wheels are 18x8.5 with 38mm offset. The tires are 225/40s. I like the different offset and the way it makes the wheel stick out and fill the wheel well. I've had no driveability issues. It aligns perfectly and nothing scrubs even with the lowering springs. As thrilled as I was with the look of the Moon Eyes, I love these even better!

I bought tires and rims from Tirerack (online wheeel/tire company) and have nothing but the best to say about them. Less the $1000 for all (17" rims and tires) including new TPS, mounted and balanced on a Hunter machine. Lugs and caps included. Shipped quickly. This is probably the 10 set of tires I have bought from them never a problem.

There you go! There is nothing wrong with the stock wheels on an HHR. Go for it!

yah i just wanted something to replace the stock hubcaps and like the look of the factory rims and that seems to be a really good price for a full set of them.
