Second modification

While I was installing stripes on my car, I decided to black out the grill spacers (or whatever you want to call them). I used intermediate matte black vinyl.

Nice! Did the same to mine. Very subtle but makes a difference in the look of the grill.

I had planned to add a stripe with a Hawaiian print over the wide stripe (leaving a 3/8" border) but I really like the way the dark silver looks on the silverstone. The beauty of doing it in vinyl is that I can change it pretty easily.

Probably someone else, mine was just done and I don't think I even mentioned it. I got the idea from another member here, don't remember who though.

Yes that member used black electric tape I recall. I tried this but used black paint. Well after the winter.....they're back....you'd never know I put one ounce of paint on them. My own fault really. I did not prime or use a paint made for plastic. It was an experiment that failed. Oh well.

Thank's for the post and pics. Planned on doing something similar to mine to hide the vertical supports.
