Silver Running Board on Black HHR

I am picking up a new Black 2008 LT1 2.2L with Sunroof, Safety Package and Bright Chrome package.

This vehicle is not equipped with Running Boards and I will install a set to help reduce rear panel debris damage.

I was considering ordering the Silver Colored running boards for a two-tone effect or should I just get the Black to match. Thoughts?

The silver boards might go well w/ the bright chrome.

I was never a fan of just the running boards being a different color. BUT, it's what YOU like that counts.

BTW, I've seen VERY few HHRs I didn't like!

Here's a member who did this to a SOM. His did at least tie in with the rims. Be your own judge, this should give you somewhat of an idea though.

I'm really liking that 2-tone effect. if only there was a way to continue the color break around the front and rear of the car.

Wow!

Awesome feedback I didn’t expect to a photoshop solution. Thanks.

I think I will try it as it reminds me of my previous ’72 Chevelle which had a Chrome bottom rocker panel.
