Taller shifter

Does anyone out there know how or where I can get a kit to lengthen my auto shifter lever. I wanna go old school with a shifter about the height of the dash. Lokar doesn't make a kit for our tranny...

TWM Performance makes extensions.

you would need a threaded shaft though, i don't know if your stock one is.

Also would have to find a way to deal with the locking mechanism.

Don't shoot me for saying this, but I actually like the shifter in the newer PT's. I drove one once, and that was about the only thing I liked in the whole car.

Stock stick on the Auto trans is not threaded. Someone posted a thread with pics about different gear knob etc..

& the locking is mechanical thru the inside of stick, it's a piece of linkage (mechanical).

Don't know of any kits. But once you understand it, fabbing what you want should not be too difficult.
