Upholstery in Tijuana

So, thinking about taking a drive and getting some sweet leather upholstery at a good price. Can any of our San Diego or So-Cal friends tell me about your knowledge/experience with work done across the border? Still a great price? Done in a day? Any particular shops?

LOL, I thought people only did this in the movies. Is it really worth it to go across the border?

Depends on what else you want sewn into the seats while you're down there...

Probably wouldn't be any worse than a shop up north. Like everything else in TJ, just watch where you're going and what you leave in the car. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get a locking gas cap, either.

You may want to check out some of the upholstry shops in East LA. When I lived in SoCal, I saw some excellent work at very reasonable prices.

Back in the early 60's me and some friends had some work done in TJ. The only rule we had was don't drink the water, don't get drunk, and DON'T leave your car alone at the upholstery shop unattended. If you are going to tuck and roll it, make sure they don't put hay in the rolls, it will not be a good thing!
NEVER accept their first price, your there to get it done cheap, now cheap is in the eye of the beholder, so for warned is for armed.

See ya down the road

Just drive down to the factory, I am sure you can find some one who did the work on your car in the factory and could us a few extra bucks in his pocket

Lots of problems down there now Fred, people being robbed, kidnapped and like the above mentioned posts, you never know what to expect. I second the east LA shops!
