White Sidemarker Lights

White Sidemarker Lights
Well after seeing Todd's (Uma) tinted sidemarkers I was on the fence with tinting them Black or Painting them White. So I used vinyl and made one of each on the rear sidemarkers. After a week or two to think about it I went with the White and just did them all in vinyl. I replaced the screws on the rear lights with a polished stainless screw instead of the flat Black factory screw. My white vinyl was a great match for the Summit white and I like how they look. Plus at night they still light up and don't look too bad. If I have the chance someday I will shave them completely because I think the HHR looks better without them.

Tim,
That was a great idea. I meant to ask you about them yesterday, but you answered my question in your post - they are visible at night.
There was another EnOOmai, who used body color (DSM vinyl on his tailights which I thought looked really good, but he didn't have any pictures to show how well the brakes/signal lights showed during daylight/night time. I also wasn't sure about it being legal in Cali

Thanks guys!
My Garage, I had some leftover from the SoCal HHRs decals.
Its standard White intermediate gloss 2.8mil. Should last 6-8 years. If I was to do it again I might use some HQ 2mil good for 10 years, but I had this laying around so...

Yes, I have some Black left over. It is pretty easy to do just need to be careful and avoid bubbles in the vinyl. I think I have it down now though so we will have to plan something. The squirter is even easier.
