White walls and wheel discs

I posted this in another thread for someone who had asked but I figured I would put it up here for everyone to see that might not look in the GA thread.

I just talked to the guy from Killer Designs that built the black woody HHR with wide whites and discs. He said he got the discs from Moon Eyes (mooneyes.com) and the white walls from Lucas Tire (lucasclassictires.com). He is not a member of this forum but I invited him over here and told him that we had lots of pictures of his truck.

I just ordered my wheel discs from Moon Eyes. I am going to hold off on the white walls for now.

Cool...Darrin is a great guy...and has lots of good ideas. Hoping he'll join us. Look forward seeing your moon eyes when they come in.

thats not a bad idea. I'm getting bored of my current rims now and having mooneyes isnt such a bad option to have on an hhr.

Yeah, Darin is a great guy and a very talented artist as well! I keep trying to talk him into coming "by" to do some old school pinstriping on my HHR...Darin? Darin?

Mike!! Good to see you up and around... Catch Darin when he is here in December for the Moon Eyes Picnic. We should make that an official HHR gathering and show off a little... Also, let me know when you are feeling like company. I need some lowering springs!

Frank, these are not rim. Just hub caps. You just use stock steel rims. I don't know if stock 17" steel rims are available for the HHR. If they are... follow this link:
http://www.mooneyesusa.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=389
Down towards the bottom is a selection for size... 17" discs are $45 each. You might call Moon Eyes and see if they can suggest a 17" steel wheel for the HHR that you could put these on. They have a toll-free number. Probably have to call Lucas about the tires too. Darin has an LS just like I do, so he has 16s.
