wiring questions

hey this is my first time posting here. i was wanting to put fog lights in my car with a illiuminated rocker switch by the traction control button. i just needed to know where to get the power for the switch, relay, and lights, what size wire i should use. just about any info i could get. lol i was just going to get an aftermarket kit but i like the looks of the factory lights. might do a hid upgrade after i get the lights working.

Use the "Search" function on this site. There are a number of threads about installing foglights. And also, "Welcome to the site"

hey i have done some researhing. heres my plan of action for adding foglights and interior floor boared lights. i would splice two wires to the dead side of the auto light. run this to my switch and lights. so when the auto lights kick on it would feed positve power them. then run line out from the switch threw the fire wall to feed my relay. and for the interior lights find a ground off the seat mounts. sorry if than makes no sence but thats what has been grinding in my brain for about a week now. i do plan on putting a fuse after after the splice. i just dont want to burn her to the ground. lol with my s-10`s i really didnt care thanks for any help or advice

Wecome to the site If you are going to tap in to the dome lamps use a relay so you don't put any extra load on the dome lamp circuit. The dome lamps are controled by the body controler so I would keep the eletrical loads away from that.
