Woodie Bowtie

Decided to try to do something different, an homage to the old woody. I think I like, not 100% sure yet. Its just loosely taped there now for the pic so it may not be totally square and tight to the body. Its got a thick urethane coat so there is a nice gloss to it. Its cut from 1/4" thick cherry.

Do you still have your old ones? Do you want to get rid of them?

Not sure I am a fan, but then again I have never been a fan of the whole "wood" thing on cars.

Looks like you did a good job, but I am not a fan of the look...
You asked.

Not sure if it's due to the body colored beauty bar but I'm not feeling it. But it's your ride.

Wonder how it would look on Mitzkity....

Just my opinion

If that's the only classic tie-in mod you were doing, then no, it looks out of place. It would look ok if you were going to progress on it more like baby moons and classic logo'd grille and so on. It's your vehicle, dress it to your taste.

I'm not sure myself-gonna live with it. I hate the gold on blue-don't like the vinyl because it shows gold too. I think billet or brushed aluminum would be cool or maybe carbon fibre. Might end up just filling the holes and spraying the piece and leaving no emblem on-eh, I dunno.
