2009 panel stereo install thread *pics*
almost have it paid off and warranty is gone. so time to get that road noise to be overtaken with bass. i hope to only post when i have a picture. i use to compete and can build almost anything. im just doing a rough install to get the ball rolling and see how it fits with my lifestyle as i use the van for work and play. i had alot of parts left over from other installs ready to go.

going with a redtop. it fits perfect except its missing a lip on the side where the second clamp block is.

so its a panel. took out the storage bins which are way to big for the actual lockable storage space. i have roadside so dont need a spare. can throw it back in if i go somewhere remote. already had stuff installed but i ripped it out to solve another issue. so now im going to add the pieces back and add a processor but still keep the headunit. not sure to go touchscreen computer or old school cd player. player would musically sound better. how much functionality do i need when im driving to have a video screen

in the last picture what i did
i used the rear signal wires which control the stock rear door, subwoofer and converted them to rca female. ran rca to front of car to a bass booster EPIC 160 AUDIO CONTROL then back to an amp. i used the speaker wires for the rest of the speakers and converted them to rcas run them to an amp and back to the stock speaker wires.
this set up allows me to use the stock headunit and speaker wire and have full control over fade and eq to control the subs. which for every song or XM, CD, Radio station can be too much or not enough.
last pic is the switchs. one for the 2 sub amps, one for the front end if its just talk radio and dont need to have the subwoofers playing

currently my front end. a full range. they converge 1 foot behind the headrest at ear level. when i competed this was the best set up no matter what car. even saw pics of guys in asia doing the same. will add a tweeter to the door and upgrade the 6 in the lower door. i completely remade a new a pillar out of fiberglass. still have to spend a few hours sanding and finish with flock. will do that when the tweets appear.

I like it the work so far. About to redo my sub enclosure to something similar. I want to use the tire well but go ported. Port firing toward the rear gate and sub up. Only in a non panel I want my cargo area back.
