2010 Panel LS custom audio system install

I've started piecing my audio system together and this is what I'm going with.

-2 sets of Kicker QS65.2 Components located in front doors and on the rear hatch

-2 8 inch Kicker CVT subwoofers in the rear doors

-1 RE Audio 12 inch SE X

-Kicker IX1000.5 (run the QS speakers and mono channel for the RE subwoofer)

-Kicker IX500.2 to power the CVT woofers in the rear doors

I am also using the factory head unit because I like it (factory sat radio) and it will add to a more stealthy install. To aid in this process i will be using Kicker's SUM8 as my multiple line out converter.

The subwoofer and all the amps + sum8 will be installed in the rear spare tire well.

Oh don't mind the Compustar R/S with the Drone module...I'll put that in a different thread (start your car from you phone)

Suggestions or ideas are always welcome!

Dang I hoped this was what I was looking for. Rear interior panels finally released, but is roped to car. No removal clip. Speaker in hand, but attachment basket is part of stock speaker backing. Now what?

Update...Rear Speakers...Sucess

So I finally got started on my project today. I wanted to install speakers in the rear hatch so I could do a 7 speaker setup. I also thought it would be sweet for tailgating.

Here is the finished product which I'm really happy with...I will put the speakers in when I get the amps installed.

Here is a pic with some speaker spacers that I modified to be about 3/4 inch.

close up

These speakers are components. So I decided to hide the crossovers in the rear hatch so I would only have to run 2 wires through the hatch wiring boot.

plenty of room

metal hole I cut so that speaker basket will clear

everything worked out really good today and there should have been speakers installed in the hatch from the factory

Subwoofer Box

So this is the box I am going to be running in my spare tire area.

my buddy Josh is quite talented at making boxes so he was working on this while I was slicing up my rear hatch.

I have a few more pics I need to take of the box with the hole cut in it. Josh does an amazing job with his work. My box is nailed, screwed, and glued. More pics to come tomorrow and hopefully some progress on my rear doors and the 8" woofer install.
