2010 upgrade

Can any body tell me if you can add the sterring wheel radio controls to the standed raido and if you have done it how hard was it. I know some have talk about doing it on older model hhr but I have not seen it on the 2010 model and not sur if it was only on the upgraded raido.

I have a 07 LS and a non fancy radio, I added the buttons. Was actually the first thing I did to it. Easy to do and there is a how to thread on this site, with P/N's and how to make sure the wires are pinned in the connector correctly,,,surprised it wasn't a standard option on the 10 models, but then it all depends on how it was ordered. Dont see why you can't as they really didnt change much over the years they were built.

Super simple

My son and I did our '06 LT1 this past winter using the instructions we found here. If you'd like, I can provide you the part numbers we ordered from GM Parts Direct, but caution that they may not be exact between ours and the '10 (especially the steering wheel cover -- different color I believe).

Part numbers that work for an '06 LT1 (Tan interior)

Here you go. As I said, these were ordered (Nov. '12) for and installed in an '06 LT1 with a tan interior. I'd definitely verify with a dealer or GMPD that they'll work for your '10, as I thought I remembered something in that long thread about the harness changing or something (and the cover color is definitely different if you have the gray interior). Good luck, my son is quite happy with this addition.
