4 main speakers are dead
Hi everybody, first time posting. I've got a 2008 HHR LT, all stock. I cranked my car yesterday morning and the 4 main speakers are dead. The 2 tweeters still get signal, but the main ones get nothing. I checked fuses 23 and 24 on the inside fuse panel and those are still good. Can somebody give me an idea of where to troubleshoot next?
EDIT: My wife said that she was driving it a few days ago and said that the volume got really loud without her touching it, then dropped out. Everything seemed to be working after her incident, but the speakers have been dead for about 24 hours.

No pioneer system that I'm aware of. I think it's just the basic of the basic system that came from the factory. I'm guessing the head unit is part of the speakers in the door? Apologies in advance, I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to car audio components.

I had some problems like this of my very own.

Look here.
I ended up replacing the door speakers and all has been fine.

I know this is another forum...but I found my answer here...its the Crappy Speakers...not your headunit! Change out your speakers and you will be riding and jammin in no time! I'm waiting for my brackets to show up first and I will be back jammin again
