Adding a DVD player for the kids
#13
To Putter and A & P... Is there anything special you do to get the HR Monitors to play the DVD? I am assuming that you are using the head unit as the signal source for the monitors. Will the DVD player supply a DVD signal to the monitors while you are driving down the road? I want to get the monitors to show movies for my son and have a portable DVD player I can use. But I want a new HU and if I can use the Pioneer 4200 to play music for me and movies for him, then I am interested.

My headrest monitors came with video games built into the system, not sure if there in the wired usb controllers or the headrests themselves, but both or 1 can play the games while the other is watching a movie, either way they want.
I did the "bypass" so I can watch a DVD Movie up front while driving. (For the front seat passenger of course)

You can mix it up pretty easy, kids wear the wireless headphones to listen to the movie or games. Each can listen to what they are doing/watching as they wish.
I can listen to the HD Radio, SD card, whatever you want pretty much.
Or everyone can watch and listen to a Movie.
Lots of options, mix or match.
I'd say alot depends on the head unit and the headrest monitors you get, as far as how they work all work together and what options you'll have setup wise.
