AM Radio Diffculty

Just bought a 2006 HHR LT, and like it very much overall. I am, however, experiencing a slightly maddening issue while listening to AM radio stations. Anytime I turn the steering wheel, I get a great deal of interference on all but the strongest of AM signals.

Has anyone else run into this problem and, if so, were you able to correct it (and how)? Thanks much....

The only time I listen to AM in the HHR is when there is a Sens game on Team 1200 (local sports channel) that is not being simulcast on one of the XM hockey channels, but I do not recall ever getting interference.

Thanks for the welcome. I listen to AM radio chiefly because I am a sports junkie and because my favorite radio program, "The Don & Mike Show" is only offered on AM in my neck of the woods. Naturally, I listen to music on my iPod or on CD's and, yes, sometimes on FM stations.

Thanks to all for your replies.
