I am about to put a sound system in my HHR, and I need some advice from somebody who knows about car audio, as I know little to nothing on the subject.

Are these any good, quality-wise? Do they sound good? Stuff like that.

I've heard these in an 80's Suburban, and they sounded pretty good, lotta bass. The guy said they were good, but I want to know if anybody else knows anything about these.

Or, if anybody has any suggestions as to what I should run, ideas would be greatly appreciated. I've been reading around the forums, and most of the replies go something like, "Depends on what you want and how much you can spend." So, I was thinkin something with a lot of bass, not for like competitions or anything, just a lot, but without sacrificing sound quality. As for price, umm... I'll have somewhere around $800-1000 to spend on the whole system.

there are a ton of better subwoofers out there... watch some vids find something u like n do some research on it

for a beginning system theres nuffin wrong with 2 infintys or 2 type r 12s

 

I had 2 12" mofo in my 2000 s-10 they were pretty good and can handle a lot of power. They might be in your local junkyard i left them in when i totaled my truck along with my neons inside and out. Didnt feel right to take them out and be a grave robber.
