Has anyone installed tv/monitor?

Has anyone installed a video screen or rear seat monitor in their HHR? I am seroiusly considering buying an HHR, but my wife wants me to install some form of rear seat video. I would really like to find something that would mount in the headrests.

I thought I saw some photos of an HHR at the auto show that had monitors in the headrests and they came from GM. Has anyone seen these? Do you know how much they cost?

I have the Kawasaki portable DVD player with 2 removable headrest mounted monitors from Target for about $250... did the Target credit card and got additional 10% off!

There is an aftermarket company that makes headrests with monitors and sells them for about $900 a pair. I saw thir grey and it perfectly matches my interior. The distance of the mounting posts in the same, but I did not check the shape to see if it would actually fit. But, I would be more inclined to get a portable DVD with a mounting strap for attaching it to the seat back. This way, you can bring it with you where ever you go (although it definitly lacks the status or classy look of the built in monitors).

Hey. I did the same thing. Gotta love Target.

Of course you cut-up the card like I did, right? I did that with Home Depot for a major kitchen remodeling project!

No. I still have the card, but I don't keep it in my wallet. It's stashed way for "emergencies". This was definitely an "emergency" lol

I have to take my laptop with me pretty much everywhere I go. So it pretty well keeps the kids satisfied while riding. I also have the portable broadband card so they can cruise the internet while we cruise the freeway, also plays DVD's....

I have a portable player that straps to the seats. I really want something built into the vehicle. I would be willing to install them in the headrest myself, but I would have to figure out the dimensions to see if they would fit in the stock headrests.
