Anyone have afteremarket overhead DVD?
I was thinking of getting one installed. I dont want to spend a ton of $$ but I want one with decent quality. Any thoughts and opinions would be apreciated. I would like one with a built in DVD so I do not have to mess with the headunit. My 2 year old loves my wifes Saturn Vue, she has the DVD system that came with it.

I had a dealer aftermarket guy tell me they come in all the time in like two yrs and have to be replaced, because they break- too much vibration.
I do not know if this is true or not as I do not have one in either vehicle, but I asked about it a lot for my Sierra.
Not to turn you away, just thought I`d pass it around.

I just bought a portable 7" screen DVD player where the screen rotates 360 degrees so it can be folded, and I just prop it up in the little compartment on the dash. The door works great holding up the DVD player. Then I just use the adaptor for the MP3 player plug in and just pipe in sound through my stereo. Does the job. That's about as high tech as I'm going to get as far as video.

I plan on doing the same thing to the HHR as time permits.
You can see pictures of my install in my truck HERE
It's towards the bottom of the page.
I did not want to do an overhead in my truck, and I do not want to do an overhead in the HHR for the same reason mentioned above...... The view from the rear view.
Like I said, it was a lot easier than it looks. Just shop around and do some research.
